Sumario:The text addresses the use of the participatory inventory articulated with the sociomuseological methodology, in the context of the studies of the new museology, in a project developed in a centennial public school, Dr. Almeida Vergueiro State School, in Espírito Santo do Pinhal, SP - Brazil. The participation of the school community in the identification and recording of significant artifacts, connecting individual and collective memories to the institution's historical-educational heritage opened paths to the development of new school practices. The project made it possible to enrich the school historical archive in plural narratives in order to resignify and value identity and affective ties, with the strengthening of the sense of belonging in decolonial critical discursive practice.
